Call for Workshop and Challenge Proposals<\/h1>\n

ACII 2025 – <\/b>13th International Conference on Affective Computing and\nIntelligent Interaction<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The organising committee of Affective Computing and\nIntelligent Interaction (ACII) 2025 is now inviting proposals for workshops and\nchallenges. ACII is the flagship conference for research in Affective\nComputing, covering topics related to the study of intelligent systems that\nperceive, express, or otherwise use affect.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Workshops at ACII provide opportunities for researchers to\nget together to connect and exchange ideas on a specific topic in detail.\nExample workshops from previous years are available here: ACII 2024 (<\/span>https:\/\/acii-conf.net\/2024\/program\/workshops\/<\/a>)\nand ACII 2023 (<\/span>https:\/\/acii-conf.net\/2023\/program\/workshops\/<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n\n

We encourage workshop proposals that draw together\ninterdisciplinary perspectives on topics in affective computing. We also\nwelcome Challenge-led workshops, where workshop participants would work on a\nshared task in advance and present the results at a workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The ACII 2025 conference theme is <\/span>Socially\nResponsible Affective Computing<\/b>.  <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Workshop organisers will be responsible for soliciting and\nreviewing papers and putting together an exciting schedule, including time for\nnetworking and discussion. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

*Papers accepted by workshops will be published in the\nconference\u2019s companion proceedings* <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Process<\/b><\/o:p><\/p>\n\n

Please email your proposal to the workshop chairs: workshop-chairs@acii-conf.net<\/a> (max.\n3 pages, PDF format). Your mail must use (mandatory) a subject line in the\nfollowing format: \u201cWS-ACII 2025 | [Your Workshop Title]\u201d.
\n
\nPlease address the following points in your proposal:  <\/o:p><\/p>\n\n

    \n
  1. Title<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  2. Organisers\n and affiliations, and the main contact person<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  3. Extended\n abstract making the scientific case for the workshop\/challenge (why, why\n now, why at ACII, expected outcomes, impact)<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  4. For Challenges,\n include information about dataset(s), dates of access to dataset, result\n submission process, etc.<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  5. List\n of tentative and confirmed PC members (mention the status per PC member)<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  6. Expected\n number of submissions, paper length, review process, and format<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  7. Tentative\/confirmed\n keynote speaker(s). (mention the status per keynote speaker(s))<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  8. Length\n of the workshop (day or half-day).<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  9. List\n of related and previous workshops\/challenges<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  10. Publication\n plan if beyond ACII companion proceedings (e.g., Special Issue, whether\n contact was made with the publisher already)<\/o:p><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Proposals will be reviewed in a confidential manner, and acceptance will be\ndecided by the ACII 2025Workshop and Program Chairs. Decisions about acceptance\nare final.<\/o:p><\/p>\n\n
