10th International Conference on Affective Computing & Intelligent Interaction (ACII 2022)

18 – 21 October, 2022 in Nara Japan or Virtual.
The annual Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Affective Computing (AAAC, formerly known as Humaine) is the premier international forum for research on affective and multimodal human-machine interaction and systems. ACII 2022 will be hosted in person in Nara, Japan, but participants can also join virtually. ACII 2022 will be based around the theme “Affective computing for mental and physical well-being”.

The Japanese government has decided to relax the border from October 11 (see, https://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/fna/
We are trying to figure out the exact impact on ACII 2022.
We have decided to hold
- the reception on the evening of October 20 (Thursday) in a form similar to a banquet at Ashibi no Sato, AND
- a social gathering on the evening of October 18 (light reception, possibly with non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks) in the Japanese Garden of the conference venue.
Anyone can attend the social gathering, while the reception requires a full registration or an extra ticket (50 GBP).
All deadlines are at the end of the day in the GMT-12 timezone.
